Hi! I'm Grant.

Me!

I am a Graphic, Web, and Multimedia Designer as well as Developer with over 4 years of mostly freelance experience. I have worked with other talented developers and programmers to create top notch designs all over the world.

I like to work closesly with my clients. I have worked with record labels, bands, privately owned companies and more in countries from Germany to Japan to the United States and many places in between.

Now for the personal stuff. I was born in Oklahoma, raised in Phoenix for a few years, then moved back to Oklahoma around the age of five. I was always drawing or painting as a child but as I entered secondary school, I realized my attraction to computer programming and web development. I took all the design and development courses I could in Junior High and High School, and excelled at them!

As college came around, I was still very interested in becoming a programmer so I enrolled for a degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Programming. In December of 2008, one semester away from graduation, I realized that becoming a software engineer was not filling my designer appetite; so, I changed courses and signed up for a degree in Multimedia. It was love at first class. In the summer of 2010, after all my 3D Animation, Web Design and Development, Grpahic Design, Illustration and what not classes, that thought of "Why can't I get a Computer Science degree and a Multimedia degree?" came creeping back. So, that is exactly what I did. In the winter of 2010 I graduated with a Computer Science with an Emphasis on Programming Degree and in the spring of 2011, I graduated with a Certificate of Mastery and a Degree in Multimedia.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been a Designer/Developer?

I started playing around with basic C and C++ around the age of 12, but, professionaly, I would say about four years.

Do you have a degree in art, design, or computer science?

I have an Applied Science in Multimedia degree, a Certificate of Mastery in Multimedia and an Associates in Computer Science degree, with an emphasis in Programming. All are from Oklahoma City Community College.

Do you have any certifications?

I do. I am Adobe Certified in Adobe Photoshop. I am also W3Schools certified in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

Everyday life. I find that if you incorporate every day shapes and structures into designs in ways that they are usually not seen, it tends to grab people's attention and it gives the design a life and environment all of its own. I am also usually affected by what is happening throughout the world at that moment, be it good or disasterous.

What do you like most about your job?

I love watching my designs turn into functioning creations. I really enjoy designing websites in Photoshop and then code the designed page together and finally adding some creative and fun functionality with jQuery. It is like watching your child grow up.
